I just wanted to quickly post something that I’m very exicted about and can’t wait to find some time to play with. It is called Through the Viewfinder, or TtV. My neighbor came across this as a technique used to get some great photos used in scrapbooking. While I’m not a scrapbooker this looks like soooo much fun and satisfies my love of vintage looking things. Basically, as far as I can tell, it involved in connecting your digital camera to to a old brownie type camera via a black tube constructed out of cereal box cardboard and then taking pics. Check out this tutorial here and this flicker group here for more information (images galore to check out too!). This will of course mean that I need to locate a vintage camera to use (and what a great excuse to do so!), but I am chomping at the bit to try this out…..
I see some thrift store or ebay shopping in my near future!
