From the garden: unexpected delight
Last Sunday I did some overdue gardening, part of which was clearing out my two main veggie boxes from an early spring planting to make room for summer veggies. One box, sadly neglected, still had parsley and cilantro in it from last season which had started to go to seed, sprouting lovely little flowers. In clearing out the box, I hadn’t the heart to compost it, so I brought the cut stems in, and have been enjoying their airy delicacy in my kitchen and bathroom. The cilantro especially has surprised me–I find that the light sent of cilantro in my bathroom is very pleasant. What an unexpected delight from the compost pile.
